Tucked away in a side street in Darlinghurst (Sydney, New South Wales, Australia) is the Lotus Room - dimmed lights, burning essence, lighted candles, cushions on the floor, sunken lounge chairs and a feeling of calm. The room forms part of Govinda's Restaurant.
A trio sat at the front and facilitated the meditation with beautifully sung chants. The session went for 90 minutes and concluded with the Hare Krishna mantra. Dinner followed at Govinda's. This was truly a unique experience.
