learn to dive into a pool

I've not yet mastered the skill of diving into a pool, as I seem to have a phobia of  going head-first into the water.  Funnily enough, when my daughters were young and learning to swim, I was able to teach them to dive! 

My annual diving attempts over the summer months have become a source of backyard entertainment for my family and I think I need some expert help. 

This task is placed on the "wish list" as it may be beyond my control to achieve.  I simply need to ditch the phobia and just dive in.
