 | Today I visited the Australian Red Cross Blood Service to donate blood for the first time in over 20 years. Due to my extended absence, I was considered a "first timer". My experience on the day was top-notch and I was blown away by the level of care and attention from the staff working there. It's obvious that they love what they do. The interior surroundings were also impressive and somewhat futuristic. I'll certainly return on a regular basis to donate blood. |

My younger daughter recently gave her first blood donation, which made me question why I hadn't been back to the Blood Bank since the early 1990s. I think life just became too hectic over the last 20 years. So I pledge to become a regular blood donor once again.
