learn the solar system

For many, many years, I thought that the Earth was located at the centre of the universe and that the sun and all the other planets rotated around us.  This long-held misconception was brought to my attention at some point when my daughters were in primary school.  They were absolutely astonished that I actually thought such a thing.  Since then, on many occasions, they have attempted to teach, explain and demonstrate where Earth sits in the solar system, but I simply can't absorb or recall the information.  It seems to go in one ear and out the other and is something I just can't master.

The aim of this task is to learn what I should have learnt back in primary school!
